About the creators

Jane Holloway Choir

The Jane Holloway Choir was formed in early 2018 as an non-auditioned chamber choir that seeks to provide its members with the chance to sing in an amateur choir at weekly Tuesday evening rehearsals. We aim to allow our members to grow as musicians, developing their sight-reading and musicianship whilst being provided with the opportunity to perform in concerts on campus and in the local area.

Conducted this year by Emily Christian and Andrew Moore, the choir have worked hard, working towards a variety of concerts and church services. This year the choir has almost quadrupled in the number of members and has introduced roles of Section Leaders to run sectional rehearsals and to perform frequently as an octet. The choir not only encourages members to perform as choir, but also as small ensembles within their concerts throughout the academic year.

During the lockdown, the choir have been busy creating a series called ‘Quarantine Choir’, producing a weekly recording as a virtual choir, accompanied by Cerys McKenna and edited by India Froud. These recordings are released weekly on their Facebook and Instagram pages, as well as their YouTube channel. They also collaborated with Ascot Life Church on the release of their new worship song, ‘Over All.’
